The best way to reach me is via email to bruce at perens dot com. If you don't hear back from me, try writing again, or call. It's not that I don't like you, it's because I'm so busy that I sometimes miss a message. Also, since spammers have ruined the reliability of email for everyone, there's a chance that your message got stuck in my spam filter or wasn't delivered.
My direct phone number is
1-510-4PERENS (1-510-473-7367)
This rings in my home and office.
Please be conscious of the California time zone, the line will
go to voice-mail without ringing from 9 PM to 7:30 AM.
I will be able to get your voice-mail via internet if my laptop has a
good connection where I am, but in general email is a better way to leave
me a message.
Write me if you need my cell number. Press are especially welcome.
I have a Google Talk number (it's an Open Protocol) and can use SIP as well. I no longer use Skype.
I will enter into bilateral non-disclosure agreements routinely for customers and business partners, and sometimes when this is necessary for some Open Source leadership issue. I find that bilateral NDAs are more fair - parties tend not to write pernicious terms when the terms apply to them. I will of course grant appropriate rights regarding my consulting deliverables.
Please do not use cryptography to send me any sort of secret unless I've already agreed to receive it. For some reason the people I most regret communicating with can be identified by their desire to protect email conversation using cryptography. I may discard unsolicited cryptographic messages without reading them.
